|
The following is a list of the questions we hear most often. Browse through the list to see if the question you have is here. If you have any other questions or need more information, please visit or call our office in Houston, TX at 281.493.0061.
- How does the doctor stay up-to-date on all of the current techniques and materials?
Dr. Incrapera is dedicated to being aware and familiar with the latest
techniques and materials. He subscribes to the latest journals to keep tabs
on research and also regularly attends continuing education classes and seminars
(as does our entire team). His interest in technology means that we offer state-of-the-art
dentistry designed to give our patients the best possible care. He also
passes this knowledge on to other professionals as a frequent teacher and
lecturer at continuing education classes.
- Can you show me what my smile can look like ahead of time with imaging software?
We routinely use imaging to help our patients visualize the end results
of cosmetic dentistry and restorative dentistry.
By asking the right questions and taking photos of your current smile,
our computer can generate an accurate image of your future smile. It’s
a fun, easy and painless process, and can give you an idea of how cosmetic dentistry
or restorative dentistry can improve your life.
- Do you accept referrals?
We believe that referrals from other dentists and recommendations from
family and friends are the highest possible compliment, so we gladly accept
referrals.
- What precautions do you take to ensure patient safety?
We take every possible measure to ensure the safety of our patients. Our
team is trained in the latest techniques to ensure patient safety. In addition
to wearing gloves and masks to prevent passing germs, our state-of-the-art
sterilization center and water filtration system guarantee a fresh water
source for each patient.
- What makes you different from any other dental practice I can visit?
We view every patient as an individual, not just another case. Our goal
is to help you achieve and maintain the best possible dental health. For
that purpose, we’ll listen to your concerns and treat you with compassion,
courtesy and respect. We take the time to understand your dental history,
evaluate your options and explain the best course of treatment for your individual
needs. We think it will be evident to you that quality and compassion are
the foundation of our Houston dental practice.
- I really do not like visiting the dentist. Is there anything you can do to help me relax?
Recent advances have made dentistry different than it was in the past.
In addition to using painless laser treatment when possible, we have a number
of techniques to help you relax. For instance, we always use topical anesthetic,
and we offer laughing gas and oral sedation to help you relax. We also provide
DVD players, headphones and several other comfort measures, and our caring
staff is skilled in making each visit an enjoyable experience.
- What is Smile Analysis?
Smile Analysis determines the proper aesthetics in relationship to your
facial symmetry, lip line and phonetics. Each person has a unique “perfect”smile—one
that’s proportional and flattering for your face. With Smile Analysis,
we can easily show you how your best smile can enhance your appearance.
- What is Smile Design?
Smile Design is individual to you, and the results are often dramatic.
With skill and experience, Dr. Incrapera can design your
perfect smile. We regularly see a patient’s life changed simply
by improving the appearance and fit of their smile. The result is often increased
confidence, self-esteem and quality of life. It’s why we do what we
do—to help others.
- My gums bleed after I brush. Is this something to be concerned about?
Gum health is crucial to overall dental
health. While it’s not desirable to have bleeding gums after brushing,
the condition may or may not require attention. Bleeding gums can be caused
by rough brushing, using a hard-bristled toothbrush instead of a soft one,
plaque or tartar build-up below the gum line, or gum sensitivity due to gingivitis
or periodontal (gum) disease. If the problem persists despite correct brushing
and flossing, contact our Houston dental office for an appointment
to evaluate the source of the problem.
- What do I do if I have an emergency when the office is closed?
In case of emergency, please contact our Houston dental office and
let us know the nature of your condition. We will return your call as soon
as possible, give you helpful information over the phone, and then determine
if you need to be seen immediately. We are here for you!
